Bookmarklets
Bookmarks (or favorites) can store a url's so you don't have to remember them. They can store url's in the same way that hyperlinks does, and this means you can store more than a website in them. In anchor tags you can add "javascript:" instead of the url, and you can call a javascript function. It is the same with bookmarks, where you can do many functions and operations. Below is a few bookmarklets that I use when surfing the net:
To test a bookmarklet you can click on it, and to store it you righclick and choose "Bookmark link" from the context menu.
This will let you edit the web page your are viewing. You can add and remove text, tables, images and more, and it should work on most new browsers.
Now you can check if your website design will work on smaller screens, like 800*600.
Inspect elements properties and attributes on this website. To turn it off you simply click Esc.
A simple way to save embedded files from a website.
Number the lines in pre tags
Ok, so you have added everything and it still does not work?
If you have any questions
or ideas send me a mail and I will gladly help you.
